I'm the Only One Who Talks About Gaming

I'm the only one who talks about gaming. So i'm this is going to be rather short. I want everyone who reads this to comment about something gaming related or strictly gaming. Got it? Good. Now do it.

  1. Well, since no one else has posted yet, I guess I'll just ask a question instead of creating a new post for said question.
What are your most preferred genres of games? Mine are probably stealth and action-rpgs, even though I'm horrible at them. ♥

    1. I love JRPGs, platforms and dabble into FPS for my friends. I would suggest if you have a Xbox360 or PS3 to get Resonance of Fate. It is a JRPG and the difficulty is near impossible to beat, but the story is decent and the characters are enjoyable.

    2. I have both systems, but sadly both of my consoles disc drives are broken.

    3. There is a way to self repair the disc drives, but it requires a good amount of patience since you have to remove parts, clean them and put them back properly. I would say RoF is worth it though, only if you like a challenge that might end in several rage quits.

    4. I'm obsessed with FPS's, stuff like BF4 and Planetside mostly.

  2. I know of at least one other student into gaming. I am not into gaming because it is after my time.

    1. It is not after your time, it's just evolved into something bigger. Gaming has been around for as long as anything else. :P Like books, it became digital

  3. See do you mean just video games since I can talk about pretty much every type (board, outside, arcade, video, etc) Here's a simple question, what's your favorite game? Why?

    1. I'm talking about any type of gaming by the way. My favorite video game would have to be either BF4 or Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time. These games are polar opposites. BF4 is a 1st person shooter that focuses on destruction of the map you're playing on and, of course. the shooting mechanics. I've put in a little more than 250 hours into BF4 and i'm still playing. The game keeps giving me new weaponry, with DLC's, and new maps and gamemodes to play. I don't have all the DLC for the game but by Christmas I should have it all. It also helps that i'm pretty good at the game, making it a lot more enjoyable for me to play. Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is a 3rd person shooter that focuses heavily on getting, customizing, and building new weaponry. I got the game when I was about 11 or 10 and made about 12 different saved games. My first, and most played, play through has over 23 days played on it. 23 days! Talk about getting addicted to something. On the other 11 saves I average about 12 days of play. The game has a pretty much unending replayable campaign, because when you finish it the game offers you a new playthrough that increases the difficulty and allows you to keep all of your weaponry. When restarting the game also gives you more challenges to play in the Argonian BattlePlex. So you can see how I could get addicted to it. It also helps that the game has an amazing story that i didn't understand back then but do now. You can get Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time on the PS3 or PC, I highly suggest you do.

    2. I have played Ratchet and Clank, being one of my first PS3 game. BF4 I steered clear of it because all I have heard about it was that it was pretty much broke, broken or not (Given it is a FPS it should have solid control) its a good game.

I know what's like to be rather attached to the first play through since I think the first game I actually ever played was Pokemon Snap or Hey You Pikachu on the N64, one I wanted to destroy the cartridge until it was no more because that was bloody nightmare. The other was just so addicting to my three year old that I kept playing. I think what I'm trying to say is stay the hell away from Hey You Pikachu or mic controlled games since often times they scar your mind and make you question your sanity.
(Unless it's Seaman for the Dreamcast, that one just haunts.)

    3. Anything on the Dreamcast is Haunting. It's the Dreamcast. BF4 was indeed broken at launch. Because of this I didn't play the game for about 2 months, but once I got the game on PS4 I couldn't get my hands off it. Since release of BF4 the game has been updated non stop. A thing they call CTE, standing for Community Test Environment, is a group of servers that DICE themselves monitor and consistently update. The Whole point of CTE is to test new bug fixes, changes to the game, and much more. CTE was only on PC, but Sony and Microsoft finally permitted DICE to have it come to consoles, which is great. I can't wait to be a beta tester for all the new possible updates that might be coming to the actual game.

    4. Actually the Dreamcast had one of best Sonic games and was well received by the public. A majority of people were disappointed of how short its life span was. CTE or not it's not an excuse for games to be broke on release, they should look for any bugs prior to the release and hold it off if there is too many. CTE is a good excuse for developers to get lazy and not make sure things actually work on release. Halo MC's multiplayer didn't work, Advance Warfare was a bloody joke, Little Big Planet 3 is broken beyond repair and Assassin's Creed Unity was the opposite of promises. DICE might know what they're doing, but it's no reason for games to be broken. I will happily wait a year or two from a delay because the game was bug ridden, I would at least be able to play the game instead of working on pest control.

    5. If this was a general question, and not just at the OP, then I'd say Dark Souls or the Metal Gear Solid series as a whole. Dark Souls due to how challenging it is, because you screw up once with an enemy you're dead pretty much, even at later levels where you have 1500+ health and the MGS series due to it just being an overall good stealth game that requires you to stealth, not just screw up stealth and just shoot everything, due to how the enemies always have more ammo and better weaponry than you, and that is especially prevalent in the later games such as when you need to drag people to retinal scanners to get through doors.

    6. Also on Dark Souls it leads you to one area and just lets you go, you can go to anywhere in the game provided you have the gear to do so right out of the gate and even when you play it for 100+ hours you still find new things, new tactics, builds and just overall it is a very deep, difficult, and amazing game with tons of stories and lore. Also, let me just say, the Japanese are amazing at making games but they are not the best with translation nor publicity.

    7. @ShaniForbidden The whole reason for CTE is to fix the wrongs of EA. EA should've delayed the game, but they didn't. DICE is doing the best they can for a once broken game. DICE would've never had to make CTE if EA had delayed the game till March of this year.

    8. Once broken though even with CTE, the water seems less and less friendly, don't know who in the industry you can trust purchasing from because hell Ubisoft has released one broken game after another, but people are still like, "AssCreed? Take thy money!" which in all do respects isn't a good thing. Electronic Arts is constantly doing these always online games and half the time they don't work so more people who see that bold E and A are more of, "EA? Eh I rather not get a sodomy done yet" because of how many times they released a broke pile of mess.

    9. But no one should blame DICE for what was, and is, BF4

    10. I'm not blaming DICE, I mean it was clear as hell that it was EA's fault for BF4 since they kinda did a big F'up with SimsCity, I recommend seeing ProJared's One Minute Review over that game (Let's say the review never happens.) I personally am not a fan of CTE since it can be miss used.

    1. I play mostly 3DS now and Wii U, my favorite system is the grandfather to the Wii U called the only console to have a bloody handle, 'tis beautiful. And you?

    2. I play on PS4. I would move to PC but if I were to do that i'd make a master rig. A PC that would cost a couple thousand.

    3. @ShaniForbidden I mostly play PC and Xbox 360, but as I said before my Xbox's disc drive is broken, but at least I have digital download.

    4. The advances in gaming have come quite far, it is a glorious world when we get to download any game we please or until the hard-drive space is all taken that is.

  5. Least favorite game? Why hate it so much and most importantly what is your guilty pleasure? (A game so bad and critically bad, but you play it cause it is somehow fun to you.)

    1. Most hated game? Ohhh, this will be fun, I would have to say Final Fantasy Xll I am not a JRPG player, but holy hell in a handbasket the intro to this was looonnng, and I've played MGS3 where there is a scene where all you do is climb up a ladder for a solid 4-5 minutes. And my guilty pleasure would have to be Two Worlds 2, it is so bug-ridden, but the magic system is amazing for such a buggy game, also it was a sequel to one of the most bug-ridden, broken, and unplayable games known to mankind, which already put it in the garbage heap of games right from the get go, but I always try cheap games at gamestop if they seem good.

    2. FFXII is so rarely hated, most seem to hate on FFXIII, I hate those things too though. Understandable hate especially with the Final Fantasy series.

Two Worlds 2? I am definitely intrigued by that being someone's guilty pleasure, though it isn't Two Worlds since that one was far more unplayable than most and lead to many unhappy buyers. Sonic '06 was probably more broken though or the new Sonic Boom Rise of Lyrics (Tis bad.) Might I ask how many hours have you spent in Two Worlds 2? I'm honestly interested in knowing more.

    3. My most hated game would have to be COD: Ghosts. I know it's almost popular to hate COD but this one really made me want to break the disc and get a refund. I didn't buy it but my brother did. I played a total of 4 hours on the multiplayer and hated all the way through. Even worse than the multiplayer experience was the campaign. How boring can you make a game? The main character never talked, and the whole thing was narrated by the most bland and uninteresting character named Nesh I think, It was so bad I forgot. The game had an interesting setting but that didn't help it in the long run. My guilty pleasure has to be Brink. I love Brink for almost no reason. But if I see it I have to play it. Don't know why I do but I do. I put in about 400 to 500 hundred hours in Brink and I feel bad for all of them. I'm also wondering if any of you have played GRFS (Ghost Recon Future Solider)? If so did you like it? I personally love it to death and still play it to this day even though it's over 5 years old. I say I put in about 1000 to 1300 hours in the game in total.
