Drug Cartels in Mexico
Drug cartels in Mexico are very bad because they capture and kill many Americans each year. The cartels are how Americans get drugs they want. If the cartels didn't exist then there probably wouldn't be a big demand for drugs in the U.S. The drug cartels are very violent, they cut off peoples heads and leave them on the streets in Mexico so people will see here terrible crimes. They also post pictures of there crimes on social media. The drug cartels are very bad and we need to find a way to get them arrested and end this problem.

i agree with you that they are awful and need to be stopped. while researching, i also saw that even the police in Mexico are involved in the cartels. it must be so scary to live there not even being able to trust the police, the people who are supposed to be protecting you. it even said that one of the most powerful drug cartel ring leaders was in the DEA. just goes to show that you can't trust everyone.
ReplyDeleteI do also agree that drug cartels need to be stopped, but to be frank, I do not think it ever will. Until all drugs are legal (which will never happen) people will continue to smuggle and make a profit. Same with the Prohibition in the United States, many of the political or affluent families we see now, earned money from smuggling and selling alcohol. It just goes to show that with all laws, there is still a way to break them. While the smuggling during the Prohibition wasn't as...morbid, it still continued to happen and many people died over it.
ReplyDeleteI think the best solution to the drug cartels is to not give them as much power as they do now. They have so much power that they have people not only in the cops working for them, but also the DEA. We also have to keep in mind some of the corrupt cops are doing it to save their families. If I was put in a dire situation of doing something illegal & against my morals to save my family, I would not hesitate to do so.
