Death Penalty in Mongolia
So, I'm a big fat tree hugger, and I value every aspect of human life. Like, I don't even like to kill bugs. Unless they're ants...I hate ants. But anyway, the main problem I have with death penalties, is since when did it become acceptable for one human to decide another human's fate? I mean, I think life in prison is way more harsh than being killed. Like, when someone is killed, what kind of peace of mind does that bring? Given, I've never been in a situation where someone did something to me or a loved one that made me wish they were dead. But if something like that ever did happen, I'd just hope that the mindset I have now would continue to influence my choices, rather than me making irrational decisions out of anger. I just feel like human life should be valued. And if you really want someone to suffer for their crimes, just killing them isn't the way to do it. Maybe torture lol but isn't being locked inside a cell from all outside contact torture enough? I just think it's inhumane, killing people for their crimes. But yeah.

I agree my child. But not completely because there are just some people who need to be gone. Like there is this one fella in Columbia who has killed 400 or so people and the only reason he isn't dead is because they don't have the death penalty there. Now he has escaped numerous times and he just keeps on killing. This world isn't like Dexter, he doesn't just target innocent people...
ReplyDeleteBut, he could be sent off somewhere else. Like a high security prison in the middle of no where or underground even. And who is this dude, a super villain? There has to be some place he can't escape from.
DeleteNothing is 100% safe my friend.
DeleteI think the death penalty is essential to punishment, due to the facts stated by the person above me, the prisoners can just escape or be let out and do whatever since most of the time people aren't going to be rehabilitated due to prison. Also, it could put a sense of fear into the other prisoners to keep them in line, I know this is a little extreme, but if you have people in prison rioting and assaulting and attacking each other, there will be a need for extremes.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you totally. When someone is gone they are gone, they don't get to come back and restart. I feel like someone shouldn't have their life ended for a crime. But also if someone killed 400 people plus more like how he said I mean he kind of deserves it... Some people who do almost nothing get killed while there is people who kill so many people and they get to live. I don't understand our thinking.
ReplyDeleteWhat injustice surrounds the death penalty in Mongolia? I'm not clear on that from the posts.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this post. Putting someone in a tiny cell all by themselves can make a mad man. These people would also have to live with the decisions that they made, which in my mind is far worse than anything. I feel some of these people want to die, they want people to react with the death penalty. Killing them would just put them out of their misery. Isn;t that the point to keep these criminals miserable
ReplyDeleteI agree killing someone for doing something wrong isn't right thing. I'll admit that i do like killing, violence and fighting but only in video games. For my project i'm doing death penalties in Japan. All the people are doing is killing the criminals that killed people. that doesn't solve any thing they are just taking the easy way out. They are becoming the killers themselves. how does killing someone solve the problem? killing the person who killed someone else is saying that its still ok to kill people. Instead of killing people put the in solitaire confinement and make them think. punish the person. Don't communicate to the criminal, just punish them until they get the point. or get them help from a hospital. that's the main problem is the people have mental issues and they can be the very tiniest problems and can still cause major issues.
ReplyDeleteSolitaire Confinement is the worse thing you could do to a person. The death penalty would be heavenly compare to one losing their sanity and not regaining it. Isolation has been outlawed internationally and against the Geneva Conventions, there is better torture methods to have suggest, but to suggest the one that makes those who put the person in there are just as guilty as the man thrown in. Torture is probably worse than those who have died since they are in physical hell while others at least die knowing any treatment done to their body afterwards won't be felt.
