Stresses
This time of the year do you feel more relaxed? Do you feel more stressed out? For me, I'm more stressed. Fourth quarter. Summer is coming. Your grades matter the most right now. I feel that now is the time when I stress more over it because I want to be more relaxed because the school year is coming to the end, but I can't. If I slack off now, then my grades will slip, my parents will be pissed at me and I'd have to quit my job. Speaking of job, the hours pick up now because I work at DQ and more people like ice cream and so its more busy there. So, in that sense I have to balance my grades with my work while dealing with family drama. ALSO, I coach a volleyball team, so I have to think about that at the same time. All in all, spring is pretty stressful in my opinion. So many more opportunities become available and you have to get your priorities straight. So, what stresses you in your life?

EXACTLY! There's just so much to try to juggle with and it's almost impossible!
ReplyDeleteSomething that keeps me from stressing out at the end of the year is just looking at the big picture. Things that seem huge and terrible now will eventually come to an end and everything will be good again. Whenever something stresses me out, I just take a step back and think about it. If it won't matter in ten years then it isn't worth your stress.
ReplyDeleteSchool all together stresses me out. I am completely overwhelmed at this point. All i have to look forward to is summer.

ReplyDeleteI agree that spring is the most stressful time of year. To keep myself from being overcome with stress, I manage my time day by day. If I have a project due on Friday, I will try to get it done early in the week, so that it does not consume my time at home. Also, I prioritize my homework. Block days are very helpful for dividing up homework. Motivating myself with incentives, like watching my favorite TV show after I'm done, motivate me to get work done.

ReplyDeleteI get crabby this time of year. I think it's because I want to be outside and can't be. In the old days before Common Core (and don't get me wrong, I'm mostly an advocate), I could talk students outside and plan my lessons around nature writing and reading. No more. And sometimes, this makes me feel rebellious and crabby.

ReplyDeleteI feel more relaxed. I find that stressing out over finals and tests get me nowhere, and
ReplyDeleteonly hurts my grade in the end. When I start feeling stressed, I find a quiet place to study and sip on some hot tea. :)
