A start to my book possibly?
"So there it was. But maybe I should explain what it is. I don't really need to though. It's ultimately not that important. I'll just leave you hanging." As the man strode back and forth in front of the body, still beating but not breathing, he began to tell his story. "It all began with it though. But never mind that thought. I was standing there watching it, gawking at it, as it did what it was made to do. I know i'm being vague but just hang in there okay? It made it's appearance well known, shooting these strange balls of fire and smoke through the currently black sky and air. It rammed through everything it came across. Knocking it down with little effort or simply acting like it never existed in the first place." The hanging body began to gurgle. " Fine I'll cut you down, stop your whimpering." He blissfully took one single step and cut the body down. It began to breath again. Filling it's now collapsed lungs with air. " Are you okay? You don't look okay. Let me fix that for you." As the body lade there, still grasping for air, the man walked over, picked the body up and slammed it hard against the tip of his knee. As the bone broke, shattering into millions of tiny pieces breaking through the body's fare skin making holes like shrapnel from a grenade, the body began to breath in actual air. The back had been completely shattered, but in the progress re-opened the lungs allowing it to breath. "Now that's better. Not pain wise, but better over all because you'll live. Now it was coming closer to me every time it took it's steps. At first I was scared s**tless. Not knowing what to do, where to run, how to hide, but then I realized something, maybe it was just the right time. So I stood there, waiting for it to take me away and it did, just not how I was hoping it to." The body, now broken lay flat on it's stomach to avoid further injury to it's back. "It just sucked me up. Pulled me straight into it. And when I was inside I was met by pure white, I couldn't even see..." "You do know they're coming right?" The broken body spat out. "They're coming, and they're going to kill you." " That's hilarious, and rather preposterous." "How do you find that funny?" "Who wouldn't? I mean really, what the hell are they gonna do to stop me? Shoot me? Stab me? Blow me up? What do you think they're gonna do once they get here huh? Say this, they kill me and they still fail because I would've already killed you. They don't kill me, I kill them, then I kill you. But I could compromise. They get here and I finish my story, I don't kill you and they kill me and you. That sounds a lot better." "You're a sick man." "I'm actually doing pretty well, no fever or symptoms that I can detect, thank you very much." As the man finished his sentence, they came in. Busting through every possible entrance. They stood up guns pointed at point waiting for the order. They stood, guns gleaming, bullets barking, muscles burning, teeth waiting for meat. But the order never came. As the bodies lay across the floor, blood oozing through holes of bullet wounds, all culminating to form a giant river of blood that lead to the large lake of blood. The man turned towards the broken body and said "Now where was I?"

It would catch someone's interest more if didn't repeat the first piece near the end.
ReplyDeleteI do that for the development of the character. It ties in later.
